# GitHub Copilot billing

Copilot usage is measured and billed according to your plan.

Copilot usage is measured in AI credits—a usage-based billing unit where 1 AI credit = $0.01 USD.

## Individual plans

All individual plans—Copilot Free, Copilot Pro, Copilot Pro+, and Copilot Max—include a monthly GitHub AI Credits allowance that varies by plan.

## Organizations and enterprises

For organizations and enterprises, each assigned Copilot license comes with a monthly amount of included AI credits, which can be pooled at the billing entity level.
