Helion is now supported in 🤗 Kernels. The obvious question: does it actually beat PyTorch SDPA? On an H100: 19/19 pre-tuned shapes were faster — 1.20× geomean 9/10 held-out shapes were faster — 1.17× geomean 29/29 matched SDPA numerically The held-out result is the part I’m most excited about. Those are shapes the heuristic never saw during tuning 🤌 And using the kernel is one line of Python: `kernels.get_kernel("HelionDSL/attention", version=1)` Not bad 🔥

Thank you, SMU Business Leadership Center for the opportunity to speak with such an engaged group of graduate students. It was a pleasure discussing how AI is rapidly evolving from research prototypes into systems that impact AI at work. One of the key takeaways is that business leaders don't need to become machine learning engineers but they do need to understand how modern AI is changing products, operations, and decision-making across every industry. It's how we work at AI at Meta! PyTorch has been instrumental in accelerating this transformation, enabling researchers and practitioners to build, train, and deploy state-of-the-art AI models more efficiently. A special thanks to the PyTorch team (Matt White, Jennifer Bly, Eli Uriegas) for supporting the event and providing the keychain lights; those were a fun reminder of the incredible open-source community driving AI innovation. I appreciate the opportunity to share my experiences and look forward to continuing the conversation with the next generation of business leaders.
