Hey everyone, I'm Divyanshi! ๐๐ป
Can you believe how quickly this year has flown by? It feels like we just welcomed the new year, and now August is already here. The year isn't over yet, but it has already been a journey filled with growth, achievements, challenges, and valuable lessons.
โจ Some highlights from my year so far:
1๏ธโฃ Landed my first job. ๐ผ
2๏ธโฃ Got sponsored by Samsung. ๐ค
3๏ธโฃ Met Techno Gamerz. ๐ฎ
4๏ธโฃ Became a part of the DEV Community and learned so much from amazing developers. ๐
5๏ธโฃ Contributed to meaningful community initiatives and connected with inspiring people. ๐ฑ
6๏ธโฃ Learned new skills and explored exciting technologies. ๐
๐ญ But it wasn't all smooth sailing.
There were moments of self-doubt, setbacks, plans that didn't work out, and times when things felt overwhelming. Some opportunities didn't go as expected, and a few challenges tested my patience and confidence.
Looking back, those moments taught me some of the most important lessons:
โจ Growth comes from stepping outside your comfort zone.
โจ Rejections and setbacks are part of the journey, not the end of it.
โจ Consistency matters more than perfection.
โจ Every challenge teaches you something if you're willing to learn from it.
I'm grateful for both the highs and the lows because they helped shape who I am today. Here's to making the most of the rest of the year!

Congrats, Divyanshi, these are amazing achievements! ๐๐
Stepping outside your comfort zone is always hard, but rejections are really discouraging and probably the hardest part. The sad (or maybe not so sad) truth is that these two things are especially common in our industry.
We have to step outside our comfort zones every time we need to learn something new and rejection is a part of job hunting. Both keep us sharp and move us forward toward more experience, better opportunities, and, of course, better money. ๐
Btw, Iโm just curious: how did you get sponsored by Samsung? ๐ฎ๐ That sounds like a very interesting achievement.
Thanksss! :D I applied for samsung's campus Ambassador program, went through the selection process, and was selected. Since then, I have been representing samsung through various offline campus activities. It has been a great learning experience!
Divyanshi, congratulations on everything you've achieved this year ๐
I also liked that you didn't make it only about the wins. The part about setbacks and self-doubt felt very real because that's something almost everyone goes through, even if we don't always talk about it. Wishing you all the best for the rest of the year ๐
Thank you, Hema โค๏ธ I truly appreciate your beautiful words. Iโm glad you could connect with that part, because every journey comes with challenges along with achievements. Wishing you lots of happiness, success, and wonderful opportunities ahead.
First job at Microsoft already puts you ahead of 99% of people โ is the world of overachievers always this terrifying ๐ฑ Bright future ahead, make the most of the second half of the year! ๐ช
๐คฏ Thanks ๐๐ป
Nice overview!
"Growth comes from stepping outside your comfort zone"
Can you give an example of that? I mean, "no pain, no gain" is a well-known truism, but I'm just curious ;-)
Early in my career, I preferred working only on tasks I already knew I could handle. Taking ownership of unfamiliar systems or presenting technical decisions felt uncomfortable because there was a real possibility of being wrong. But that's where the biggest learning happened.
For me, stepping outside the comfort zone isn't about chasing painโit's about accepting uncertainty. Growth begins when certainty ends.
I feel you are one of those people who don't ask questions just to find answers, but to discover different perspectives. Because the meaning of something is often known to everyone, yet each person experiences and understands it differently through their own journey. And sometimes, that small difference in perspective is where the greatest learning comes from.
Thanks for reading :D
Thanks! That's a great explanation of "stepping outside of your comfort zone", and why it's valuable ... and yes, different perspectives certainly interest me - more often than not there isn't something like an "absolute truth", it depends on how you look at it, and different perspectives can be an eye-opener :-)
Congratulations ๐. Keep making the most of it.
Thank you so much ๐๐ป
Yep, time flies too fast, especially when you have so much work to do ๐ . But anyway, you're really cool. Best of luck in everything
Thanks Nicholas :D
