Feedback Pull Request Feature to support holistic and authentic student feedback

The Feedback PR feature of GitHub Classroom was, for me, the primary reason I adopted it for my courses. Please consider adding an option per assignment to automatically create a Feedback PR (base = template/starter commit or branch, head = student submission). This would make it much easier for us to transition to Classroom50 while preserving the successful feedback patterns we’ve built around GitHub Classroom’s existing Feedback PR.

In contrast with tagging, a Feedback PR has many advantages:

• Shows one complete diff from the starter/template to the final submission, across all commits and files, instead of only the last commit’s changes.
• The native GitHub PR interface is fully featured and used commonly in production workflows.
• Creates a single point of feedback and review for both teachers and students, where summary feedback is shown together with the individual line-of-code feedback, allowing for an in-depth and easily accessible evaluation and conversation. This is especially useful for iterative term projects.
• Aligns student experience with real-world Git/GitHub workflows, helping them learn how PR-based reviews work in industry while they receive feedback.
