very true, i also really don't like the change to always have to use "auto". a year back i could use something like haiku or a low-level GPT and have that limit last the entire month with some to spare now i do a simple request, it randomly chooses codex 5 and then woops, all tokens gone |

If you're a student and running out of Copilot AI credits, here's an alternative you can try. If you have a Jio SIM (India), you can claim 18 months of Google Gemini for free. It also gives you a good amount of AI credits for Antigravity IDE and Antigravity CLI. You can use different models like Gemini 3.6, Gemini 3.1 Pro, Claude Sonnet 4.6, Claude Opus 4.6, and GPT-OSS. I've been using it for coding, debugging, and other development tasks. You should definitely give it a try once. |

previously it used to give more API credit reset every month! it was good enough for learnig and building something serious!
